to Little Monkeys Day Nursery.
The
Nursery:
Little Monkeys Day Nursery is a Private Day Nursery situated
in the idyllic
Little monkeys Day Nursery was established in 1998 and
caters primarily for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years, however,
children up to the age of 8 years are accommodated during holiday periods. The nursery is registered for 25 full time
children.
Little monkeys Day Nursery complies with OFSTED
regulations regarding staff: child ratios.
These being:
1:3
for under 2 year olds
1:4
for children aged 2 to 3 years
1:8
for children aged 3 to 5 years
The nursery is registered with OFSTED and is regularly
inspected to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
The nursery is open all year (except Bank Holidays,
Christmas and New Year) from 8.30am to 5.30pm and offers a full range of
sessions (for example, full and part time places).
Staff:
Little
monkeys Day Nursery ensures that all staff are either fully qualified Early
Years specialists (i.e. Early Years Teacher or Nursery Nurse qualified) or
experienced Nursery Assistants. Each
member of the team is registered with OFSTED and has undergone rigorous
security checks.
Facilities:
The main nursery facility is based in a large
play barn and comprises of four main rooms:
the under two’s room, the baby room, the busy room and the messy
area. The children are allocated into
specific rooms depending on their age and the planned activities.
The nursery offers a wide range of fun
activities that are designed to enhance your child’s personal, physical,
intellectual, language, emotional and social development. The nursery is well equipped with a vast
array of resources including: construction, jigsaw puzzles, books, small world
toys, musical instruments, dressing-up clothes etc. Furthermore, we still find plenty of time for
lots of messy activities such as painting, cutting & sticking, play dough,
cooking, drawing etc.
The children have access to extensive outdoor facilities
and resources, including slides, tricycles, go-carts, balls, see-saws etc and
more excitingly farm animals. On rainy
days, the nursery also has access to the play barn.
Early Learning Goals:
Little monkeys Day Nursery receives government
funding for all four year olds and selected three year olds. As a result of this funding, the nursery
works towards the Foundation Stage Curriculum, known as the Early Learning
Goals. All activities arranged for the
three and four year olds are planned in accordance with these guidelines. Our skilled nursery staff ensure that these
activities remain fun.
Policies:
The nursery operates within the parameters of
many policies (for example, Special Educational Needs, Equal Opportunities
Child Protection etc). Copies of all
policies are available in the nursery and upon request.
Meals:
The nursery provides the following meals (depending
upon the sessions your child is booked in for):
10.15am
mid-morning snack of fruit,
biscuits and milk
12.00pm a
home cooked two-course hot meal
3.40pm afternoon
snack and milk
